Columbia Business School IDC program works with Pozitron


This year 3 students from Columbia Business School have been invited to Istanbul to work with Pozitron, on streamlining the company’s product offering, sales strategy and marketing collateral. The Columbia Business School team worked remotely from New York with Pozitron over 4 months prior to working in the Pozitron office for 2 weeks.

Each semester, the International Development Club (IDC) of Columbia matches student teams with organizations around the world to work on over a dozen consulting projects. The aim is to put together teams that can apply the business thinking that we study at CBS to help organizations that work to improve lives across the developing world.

Presenting at the "Mobile Signature" project meeting

The GSMA has organised a Mobile Signature project meeting in Istanbul in order to asses Mobile Signature case studies. Pozitron was invited to present its Mobile Signature integration with its mobile banking product, ISCEP. This case is among the first application based Mobile Signature integrations worldwide.

The GSMA is the global trade group for the mobile industry representing 750 GSM mobile phone operators across 200 countries and territories worldwide and over 200 manufacturers / suppliers. It is also the producer of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Microsoft FOREFRONT EDGE (IAG) partnership with Pozitron

On the 3rd of December 2008, Microsoft announced a partnership with Pozitron in Integrating Second Factor Authentication with Microsoft’s IAG Platform. In this solution Microsoft IAG users will be able to incorporate second factor authentication through Pozitron's SoftKEY offerings.

Finalist in the BlackBerry Innovation Awards

Pozitron’s mobile banking application Iscep developed for Is Bank became a finalist at the BlackBerry Innovation Awards that was held in Monaco. "Life On BlackBerry" category award was given to a partner company which developed the best application to the consumer segment. Wow factor, consumer appeal, ease of use, brand and strategy fit and product take up in the market were the main factors in the selection process. Pozitron's Iscep made it to the final three among dozens of applicants.

Pozitron’s patent application dated 2005 / 2377 regarding its touch screen mobile betting solution technology was confirmed by Turkey’s Patent Institution. Regional leader in mobile software technologies, Pozitron is among the few patented companies in the business.

Pozitron CEO Fatih Isbecer spoke at the IBM Software Summit 2008. The topic of his conference was “Banking moves to non-traditional channels: Mobile Banking.” Other speakers in the summit included executives from Coca Cola, Turk Telekom and Mercedes.

Turkcell’s OpenID integration is developed by Pozitron

Turkcell Iletisim AS, Turkey’s largest GSM operator will soon announce that it will act as an OpenID server-agent. Any Turkcell customer that uses “Turkcell Mobile Signature” will be able to log on to OpenID enabled websites without having to open different sessions for each website. That means the company will verify the identities of their 40 million users immediately, without the need for another account to be created, for any other site on the web that supports OpenID.

OpenID, an open framework based on proven Internet technologies, enables users to consolidate their Internet identity, eliminating the need to create separate IDs and logins at all of the various websites, blogs, and profile pages they may visit in the course of their online session. This new technology was adapted in partnership with Pozitron.

1550 Alo Kanka by Istanbul Police Department

Istanbul Police Department’s new SMS based Police assist and information service “Alo Kanka”s Turkcell infrastructure and compatibility is completed by Pozitron. Alo Kanka 1550 SMS service aims to reach the young and proactive citizens of Istanbul to help them report their non-emergency daily inquiries or warnings. Each SMS is replied by a trained officer.
